$3,000 goal

At 12 years old I got my first weight bench and a book from the library about lifting weights. Thus began a lifelong passion for fitness.  I joined the military in 2007 and served a tour in Iraq and in Africa as a construction electrician.  After leaving the service I struggled to find the same meaning and comrodery on the civilian side.   Almost two years ago I decided it was time to face down my demons and I finally got clean and sober.  I went from being homeless to getting an apartment and getting back into school.  Throughout all my battles and my triumphs fitness has been the one constant in my life and today it’s the thing that keeps me sober. Pursuing a career in the fitness industry is an obvious choice for me. I am thrilled that FitOps choose me to be a part of their upcoming 3 week fitness training camp. This will enable me to start on my career path as a Fitness Trainer.  Thank you so much for any and all donations. You really are making my dream come true.

The Fitness Operatives mission is a certification program for veterans who want to become elite personal trainers. The on-site program concludes with certification of fitness industry professionals--who are experts in exercise and in leadership--designated as Certified Veteran Fitness Operatives (CVFO).

We help veterans who are passionate about health and wellness to find success after the military in the fitness industry. The goal is not just to help veterans to get certified as personal trainers, but to create a path for our servicemen and women to use their leadership skills to help improve the lives of others. For this reason our program focuses on QUALIFICATION not simply CERTIFICATION as professionals in the fitness industry.

*Any funds raised through individual efforts are strictly considered donations to the FitOps Foundation. Funds raised do not guarantee program placement or acceptance to the program. Funds raised by applicants that are not accepted into the program will be utilized as funds towards accepted applicants’ tuitions.
