World Record Attempt

United States Marine, Michael Eckert is attempting to break the Guinness world record of 7,715 pull ups by a man in 24 hours. This is currently held by Brandon Tucker from Columbus, GA.

Michael’s desire to push past boundaries in fitness has led him to attempt to break the world record for pull-ups; aiming for over 8,000 in 24 hours. After training for six months and with a lifetime of experience performing the movement, Michael believes that through this incredible feat, he can shine a light on the generational epidemic of veteran suicide, raise awareness for veteran non-profit, FITOPS, and inspire others to embark on their own athletic adventures.

Date – October 6, 2021

Time – Start 9am CST

Location – Camp FITOPS Bentonville, AR

About Michael Eckert

Michael Eckert is a United States Marine, American Ninja Warrior contestant, and personal trainer who has competed as an athlete for over 13 years and trained thousands of Marines and civilians in high-performance fitness.

Michael’s experience with veteran suicide is highly personal, having lost his best friend and fellow Marine to suicide, while serving on deployment. In support of FITOPS, Michael hopes to raise awareness and financial support for the foundation, whose mission is to help veterans find new purpose after they take off the uniform.

About FITOPS

FITOPS empowers veterans with renewed purpose and camaraderie through the power of fitness and community. Founder and Army veteran, Matt Hesse, experienced the positive power of fitness and health in the transformation of his own clients and community. This laid the foundation to recreate a transformative experience for veterans who are passionate about fitness, health, and wellness as they transition. FITOPS is specifically designed to build on the fitness and leadership experience that veterans gained during their time in the service. The result is a Fitness Operative accredited personal training certification, allowing graduates to guide themselves and their clients on a path toward being their personal physical, mental, and intellectual best selves.
